Ok finally here are the pictures from our trip. Man, you guys are hard to catch up with if we leave for a few days! ;)

So, we were getting ready for the big Thanksgiving holiday. It just isn’t Thanksgiving to me if I don’t cook the biggest Thanksgiving feast you’ve ever seen in your life! I like all of the good ol’ Southern fixin’s like cornbread dressing, corn pudding, creamy mashed pototates, and fudge pie. Sean has eaten cheerios for Thanksgiving his entire life so rather than try to convert him, we’ve decided to make his favorite Thanksgiving day foods too – Pizza and Sugar Cookies.

Now the food might be non-negotiable but the scenery isn’t so we thought, why not look out at the ocean over our festive meal? So we packed up Sean’s grandparents and our friends Court and Aspen (and munchkin Audrey of course) and headed down to the beach!

I don’t think Jim has ever taken a picture without flexing his muscles – he even paused and flexed for our wedding video before taking his place.

Insert obligatory sassy/zoolander face picture here:

Audrey has become afraid of sand since our last visit to the beach. We tried to sit her down in it and as you can see, she wasn’t going for it…

…but after tasting a bit of it, she decided it wasn’t so bad after all. :)

After our short beach excursion we flew up to Canada to be photographed by Dave and Quin Cheung of DQ Studios. We’re so excited to see the results! This may sounds silly since we’re professional photographers but we’ve never been professional photographed and we absolutely love their work. Calgary reached a 110 year record low while we were there and a big snow storm hit as we were flying in so we didn’t get out too much during our couple of days there. We mostly just visited with Dave and Quin and it was wonderful getting to know them. They are incredible photographers and even more so incredible people! We’ll post a few shots when we get them. In the meantime, here are our few point and shoot pictures from the airport. As soon as we got to the beach we knew we were doing this backwards – warm beach then snowy Canada? What were we thinking? It is beautiful though and we made it home with all of our toes! Yay! :)

Stupid faces are our forte…

and one last photo of the gorgeous Rockies in the distance…

Hope you enjoyed them! We’re going to enjoy sleeping a lot if we ever catch up from being gone! :) Until next time…
