It’s officially official!  We love theme weddings!  Bonnie and Daniel went the vintage, vaudeville-esque steampunk route and it was awesome!  We had so much fun researching photography from the early part of the century and integrating that look into their wedding images.  I love the pride that is so evident in the people of the era.  It was obviously a huge deal to have your likeness immortalized and it’s something we so take for granted nowadays.  

I’m still working out exactly how I want to process these in post but here’s what I have so far…

    Amazing guys! That really looks like a tintype from the era. I collect old photos and I’m the family photography historian and this is just perfect. I have been so excited to see this wedding! I love steampunk! More please, sir?

I adore your note about the pride evident in people having their likeness immortalized…it IS a huge deal! it continues to be a huge deal…ESPECIALLY WHEN YOU’RE BEING PHOTO’D BY THE MCLELLANS, YEAH! i can’t wait to see the rest (and i wish i could be a fly on the wall at their premiere)!
