We knew before we ever met them that Sarah and Neil were going to be hilarious and that we would love hanging out with them.  They are self-described pickers and thoroughly enjoy picking on each other which Sean and I found completely amusing.  They wanted atypical for their session and spent hours scouting various trails around the Asheville Parkway to find the best spots – our kind of clients! :0)  Then there’s the flat out openness which I always appreciate and Sarah sent me not one, but two emails describing the nightmares she had where I was a huge diva and wouldn’t photograph them. ha!  To top it all off they are either extremely daring or totally nuts because part of what they wanted for the session was to get in the water at the base of a waterfall – in October – in the mountains!  I thought for sure that they would change their minds when they stuck a toe in but they not only got in, they got fully submerged in the freezing water!  My heroes! :0)  Who on earth would ever pull a diva card with that kind of dedication??

As we hiked back out of the valley along slippery rocks in the near darkness Sarah begged for more than two blog images for their post.  We agreed that if she broke an ankle climbing out of the woods then 3 would definitely be in order.  No bones were broken in the making of these images but in leu of the boldness to swim in 40 degree water, here they are Sarah – your 3 blog sneak peeks! ;o)  The wet waterfall images simply must be saved for the big reveal but here’s a little something to wet your appetite!  Hope you enjoy them!  Thanks for spending the afternoon with us!

Mel—they look amazing! I am blown away. I thought for sure you were going to talk about the scenery instead—hahaha. We had so much fun and can’t wait to do it again in the next few months. And for the record, totally honored that I got three images and didn’t break my ankle!
