The Scott Family

Written by Mel McLellan

On our recent trip out West, we got to spend a good chunk of time with our friends, Chris and Adrienne and their kids. It’s always so good for the heart to catch up with the members of your tribe. We may live miles away from each other and not be nearly as good at keeping in touch as we’d like, but the Scotts will always have a piece of our hearts. They’re our people and we just can’t quit ’em.

Chris and Adrienne, we love you guys. :)

How to Enjoy Disney World with Multiple Small Kids in Tow

Written by Mel McLellan

Seven and I were just hanging out in the kitchen the other day when he randomly said, “I think I’m about ready to go back to Disney World.”

Me too, buddy. Me too.

Before I had kids, I would have told you it would be crazy to attempt Disney with small children. My plan was to wait it out until we were past the stroller phase at least. But now here we are with 4 kids that are all pretty stroller-worthy, by Disney-trekking standards at least, and we’ve done Disney World three times with three, and then four, little ones.

And you know what? I don’t feel crazy for having done it. In fact, it’s been great!

I do think there are a few factors that can make or break your Disney-with-toddlers experience though. I’d like to share my tips and experience with you all today in hope that it might help you make your own Disney trip awesome.

Stress-free Disney with Toddlers

What to Pack for a Day in Disney Parks with Small Children

Written by Mel McLellan

Not to brag, but I think I’ve got packing for a day inside Disney World down to a fine science.

Admittedly, I obsess a little over what to pack to prepare for the kids when on trips. I’m pretty sure it’s what half of my travel posts are about. I just don’t like being somewhere, trying to have a good time, and not have what we need.

Well, multiple Disney trips with multiple children have taught us a few things. Our park days are fun and leisurely for the most part. We have everything we need and then some, but we don’t feel loaded down.

I’ll go into details later on how we structure our trips in general to create a (mostly) stress-free experience (because come on, nothing with kids is TOTALLY stress-free). Right now though, let’s dig into specifically what to pack for going into the parks. I’ve obsessed so you don’t have to! ;)
