I had no idea what we were getting into when we drove up to Louisville last night for the Jack-O-Lantern Spectacular. I guess the word “spectacular” should have tipped me off, but it was so much more than we ever anticipated.

There were SO. MANY. PUMPKINS.

And the carvings — just wow. Who knew you could do things like that with a fruit?

Fair warning: the line to get in was of Disney World proportions (Seven actually asked if we had a Fast Pass when we got there. ha.), but they have snacks and movies along the way and it moved pretty quickly.

Also, their website says the walk is on a soft path through the woods with some steep inclines and wheelchairs might have trouble. Because of this, I didn’t bring a stroller, but it would be totally doable with one and I will be bringing one next time.

Our pictures are pretty crude since they were all hand-held while wrangling children, but they’ll give you a little taste of what you can see anyway.

If you live anywhere near Louisville, Kentucky, I highly recommend getting yourself there for this event. We live 3 hours away and it was well worth the drive!
