Ok so I just realized that in all the hustle and bustle around here this week, we haven’t posted an image from Lissa and David’s wedding yet! These guys are such a laid-back, easy-going couple and their wedding was the perfect reflection of that. They were married in an outdoor ceremony at Evins Mill. If you haven’t been out there, you should definitely check it out! We had never been and we fell in love with the rustic nature of the place. Who wants to go for an all day shoot?? I love this image from Sean! We wanted to mimic the historic feel of the place with this arrangement and I really like the modern twist he’s put on it with the lighting and angle. Good job Babe! ;)

Thanks again, everyone who attended (we had a big group–the workshop did end up completely selling out!)–we had a great time meeting you all and hanging out, and everybody turned out some great work! Here are some of my shots:
A huge thanks to Bekah, Kerri, and Matt for being great models, and giving us a big part of the your day! Thanks also to Faccio Bridal! Beth and Elizabeth are awesome ladies and they were so generous with their gowns and accessories. You made the shoot 10 times better than it would have been without your help! Ben Enoch down at Ben’s Salontique did the girls’ hair and he did a fantastic job as well! Thanks you guys! | |

Wedding Photographers – Franklin, TN – Shoot with Beckstead Part 1

What a fun couple of days we’ve had! We just got done hosting a workshop for David Beckstead and I’m excited to share some of the results with you! David is an amazing person and we so appreciate him traveling out here from Washington state to share with all of us. Thank you so much David and please thank Kassandra too! She is equally amazingly for so willingly sharing her husband with the world. The first day of the workshop was a day long model shoot. We started off at a friend’s farm (thanks Julian and Val!) and then headed to Franklin’s historic district for the evening. Our models did such a wonderful job! Kerri, Matt, and Bekah – we appreciate you guys! The second day was a day long critique of everyone’s images and we were so impressed with the level of work everyone put out! You guys rock! I’ve got a few of my images ready so I’ll share them and maybe Sean will come on later with some of his – just ask him sweetly!
It was so nice to meet new faces and see old ones again! Thanks for coming and thanks again David for spending a few days with us! - Mel | |

Photography in Nashville – Franklin, TN – Racheal’s Bridal Session

Wow. We have been so completely delinquent about the blog lately! Sorry guys! We got back a little over a week ago from the beach and it was so nice to have a break! The long hours were really starting to get to me but now we can push straight on through to Christmas! I didn’t take too many pictures at the beach but I did get a few of my friend Rachel and her girls that I’ll share later. Right now, I thought I’d better get something of another Racheal out. You’ll remember Racheal from her wedding a couple of months ago. She is a horse trainer and Ria (sp?) is her baby! We went out a few days ago to her barn in Eagleville, TN to capture this all important time with the second most important being in Racheal’s life – maybe the first. I love the sky right after long rains!
