Hey Everyone! It’s that time of year again! Christmas is just around the corner so if you’re planning to get Grandma or your favorite bride and groom a gift from McLellan Studio, orders need to be placed by December 5th. Any orders placed on December 6th and beyond will not be guaranteed to arrive before Christmas. Try as we may, we can’t make our wonderful suppliers work any faster as the holidays approach so please work with us to get things to them in a timely manner! Merry Christmas! :) Sean and Mel

Nashville Portrait Photographers – Modern Tybee Island Lifestyle Shoot

We’ve been traveling all over the place, and I think we’ve only been home for about one week out of the past month. So now that we’re back, we’re playing mad catch up!
Here’s one of the resulting images from the McLellan’s in action that I promised about two weeks ago.
Most of the time when we’re on the beach, there isn’t a single cloud in the sky to play with. This day was absolutely perfect. I love the lines, reflections, drama in the sky in this shot of Mel’s.

Destination Wedding Photographers – Savannah, GA Wedding – Westin Hotel

So it turns out that working photoshop with a laptop and its touchpad is pretty miserable so, due to just getting back in town, we’re pretty delayed with the blog posts. We were so honored to be asked to join Marlena and Tim in Savannah last weekend for their wedding! We’d never been to Savannah and I have to say, I am in love! It’s such a gorgeous city with a rich culture and well-preserved history. It’s the perfect setting for a wedding! I’m excited to share more from their day at a later date. Small weddings are so great because of their intimacy and these guys had the most precious families! Marlena’s dad is the perfect father of the bride.
Marlena and Tim, you are beautiful! Thank you for allowing us into your lives and trusting us with your memories! See you soon! - Mel p.s. Family session blog coming soon – just tell Sean to get with it!

17 people have commented. You know you want to. Robin Finney: This is amazing! I absolutely LOVE your work, Sean and Mel. You two are the most talented photographers I have ever witnessed. (11.30.07, 11:12 pm)
Sean: Thank you so much, Lisa! And just wait… there are plenty more where this one came from
Lisa Wright: This is Tim’s mom. I absolutly adore this picture. I have shown it to several co-workers and customers (some who are professional photographers and teach photography) and they are blown away. Comments that have been said, that belongs on a perfume add, that could be the cover for a romance novel, that could be a poster for a movie. I say WOW!!! (11.30.07, 10:50 am)
mel: Thanks Ashley!
Whitney Carlson: A beautiful image! I love Savannah and really want to take Peter there for vacation sometime. Have you read Midnight in the Garden of Good & Evil? If not, you should, it will be even better since you’ve visited… Hope you guys are well! (11.29.07, 1:17 pm)
mel: Thanks Ladies! And Mel, there should never be need for an occassion to wear a flower in your hair. Go for it! (11.27.07, 12:01 pm)
Melanie Watson: fantastic image as always guys!!! What a beautiful couple… now I want to wear flowers in my hair! (11.26.07, 10:59 pm)
mel: Hey Marlena and Tim! We’re so glad you like it!
Tim: Wow!!!!!! You two are amazing. Thank you for all you did for us during this exciting time. (11.26.07, 1:22 pm)
Marlena Wright: This is awesome, guys! You are such a blessing to work with, and we will wait patiently to see more!
P.S. How perfect was the beach that day? Those are going to rock… (11.26.07, 12:56 pm)

The Echo of Life + A Question for our Readers
Nov, 25 2007 by Sean

I was reading Joe Photo’s blog this morning, and came across this story and thought it was worth sharing: A son and his father were walking on the mountains. Curious, he yells: “Who are you?” Angered at the response, he screams: “Coward!” He looks to his father and asks: “What’s going on?” The father smiles and says: “My son, pay attention.” And then he screams to the mountain: “I admire you!” Again the man screams: “You are a champion!” The boy is surprised, but does not understand. If you want more love in the world, create more love in your heart. Life will give you back everything you have given to it. - Author Unknown —– I’m always inspired/pushed/provoked by stories & writing like this. I’ve often wanted to write and share similar things, but have yet to do it. I’ve been considering either starting a new blog or creating a separate section of this one where I can write/share this type of thing. In addition to that, we also get lots of emails from other photographers asking questions about how we do things, etc. I always try to get back with everyone as soon as I can, but as more emails come in, and as we get busier and busier, sometimes things slip through the cracks or it takes a long time to respond. Because of this, I’ve also been kicking around the idea of creating a blog for photographers. There are probably a few other things I’d like to write about as well, but I don’t necessarily think I should just start cramming it all on here! I will eventually find an outlet for these things that I want to do at some point; but if I knew there were a lot of people interested right now, I would make it happen faster. So that brings me to the question: Are you interested? Below, I’ve created the super easy, handy poll for you to use. It would also be helpful if you left a comment or sent me an email with things you might specifically be interested in, or not interested in. Depending upon the response, I will make something happen. It is up to YOU!

Bradford: … wait… you can’t give away all your secrets! But if we act now, we can get all your secrets. (11.29.07, 10:21 pm)
Melanie Watson: who wouldn’t want all 430 parts to knowing Sean’s 430 parts to being a master photographer!?! I loved that story by the way… very inspiring. (11.26.07, 10:57 pm)
david&kimi baxter: can pavarotti teach us to sing like him?
At the McLellan Center For Photographers Who Can’t Take Pictures Good and Wanna Learn To Do Other Stuff Good Too, they teach you that there’s more to life than being really, really good looking. (11.26.07, 2:22 pm)
brianne: i yelled out into mckay’s mill this morning for an answer to whether sean could sustain a new blog with you all’s current work schedule and the echo said “you’ve got to be joking”
esm: I am looking forward to this new blog. I would enjoy seeing a list of books, stories and quotations that you and the blog participants consider to be motivational, inspirational, enlightening and all out positive. (11.25.07, 5:38 pm)
