Jessica Harp & Jason Mowery: Engaged at the Ryman Auditorium

You guys know what suckers we are for proposals so there will be lots of images to show for this one! Jessica Harp and Jason Mowery were engaged a few months back and we were so excited when Jason asked us to come along to photograph the big event. Being in the music industry, they share a love of old country music so how perfect is it that they met at the Ryman? Jessica’s band (The Wreckers) was in need of a fill-in fiddle player and Keith Urban‘s fiddle player, Jason, was asked to help out. A couple of weeks later, he was made a permanent fixture both in the band (sorry, old fiddle player!), and in Jessica’s life. Jason decided to go back to where it all started to ask Jessica to marry him. Check out the montage at the bottom of this post for many more images… Popping the question….

Where it all began…
The Ryman has so many cool little nooks and crannies!
After the Ryman, we walked around downtown a bit. Check out the slideshow to see the random dutch guy who came to chat with us. There was also a singing homeless guy who ended up joining a chase for a thief down the street. Only downtown! Sean and I don’t make it out of the Franklin bubble much so it was an exciting time! haha!
No story here – just a fun yellow wall…

Nashville Portrait Photographers – Belle Meade Plantation Engagement Session

Sunday was one of those rainy, stay in bed kind of days but Amber and Tyler made it so much fun! We started out at the Parthenon where they used to spend date nights in high school and then moved on over to the beautiful Belle Meade Plantation. I love old log homes. They remind me of Sean’s grandparent’s house where we got married. Aren’t they cute? I’ve officially decided – this season is all about cuddling!

I actually wanted to apply for the position that you posted months prior, but have two young kids and wasn’t sure how that would’ve worked. My fave pic is the baby sitting on the Pinkerton Park bridge. It is my goal to get a shot like that for my Christmas card…two kids are harder to shoot than one. phew…! I have great admiration for both of you and will keep checking your BLOG and your website often.

Destination Wedding Photographers – Savannah, GA Us Session

Catching up! The day after Tim and Marlena’s wedding, we all went out again for an Us session around Savannah. It’s so beautiful there that we had to take advantage of the scenery! One of my favorite things in the world is Spanish moss. If I could figure out how to make it grow in TN, I would be all over that! Oh yeah – we heart nuzzling too – can you tell?

I did see some sort of tree lichen or moss growing on a tree in Cades Cove last month though. Now I’m curious as to whether you couldn’t get something like that to grow here.
