Nashville Wedding Photographers – Feature Wedding – Rebecca and David

We absolutely LOVED shooting Rebecca and David’s wedding! It had a very classic vintage feel and the people were lovely inside and out. And the lighting – mmm sweet light! There was color and drama everywhere! We shot so much that we actually killed our off camera flash. The poor thing just got back a couple of weeks ago.

We’re trying to get better about posting features on a regular basis and this one actually has a slideshow but I thought I wouldn’t wait for that to post a few of my favorites. mel: Thanks Eric! The blue light actually isn't blue at all - It's a video light cast on a white wall. I tinted the wall to a blue hue in photoshop to create the mood I wanted. (2008-02-13 12:49:00)

Nashville Modern Portraits – My Best Friend’s Babies :)

On Saturday we got together with Jon and Rachel and the girlies to commemorate Lauren’s 3rd year and Evie’s 6 month milestone. I seriously cannot believe that Evie is already 6 months old! Last year absolutely flew – I’m feeling so old!

My favorite part of photographing young siblings is the look on the younger ones’ faces. They’re either resigned to torture or afraid of being killed. After 6 months of living with a 3 year old, Evie’s pretty resigned. )

Lauren is pretty sure that she is a real live princess! She would love nothing more than to be able to wear only princess dresses every day…

We ended up in historic Franklin for the shoot and I am so proud of Rachel! She cringed but she let me put her baby on an entry way floor….after she wiped it down thoroughly with baby wipes but still! ) This is Evie’s new trick…

Nashville Portrait Photographers – Engagement Session – Belmont University

It happens fairly often that we get the opportunity to work with couple who, for one reason or another, can’t have us shoot their wedding. These are always an incredible honor for us because these people appreciate what we do enough to go the extra mile to integrate us into their wedding experience. Whitney and Vaughn are one such couple and we so enjoyed our time with them! They are incredibly warm people with sweet spirits and a great sense of humor. ) We went back to where they met for the engagement session and roamed around Belmont University’s campus. We love tying in the sentimental and it doesn’t hurt that Belmont has really great architecture to play with!

Vaughn is a professor at the school so we were able to sneak into a classroom for a few fun shots. Yes, in case you were wondering, Whitney and Vaughn met while she was in school there. They say it’s not nearly as scandalous as it sounds but we think they should run with it and add embellishment! I mean come on – it’s hottt! ;o)

I can’t decide which one I like best. How about you? Sweet and sexy or edgy-cool?

Whitney and Vaughn, you guys were a pleasure and we’re so happy to have met you both! We’ll see you soon for your premiere!
