This post wouldn’t be complete without some photos… Here’s one we took while scouting locations in Venice the other day. We have an “Us” Session scheduled there later this week, and are really looking forward to it!
Long ago, school taught me to learn from context clues. Based on the size of this door we found, Venetians must have, at one point, been gigantic. Here we are, hanging out in front of a giant’s house.
Off to Milan tomorow and Tuesday. Probably won’t have internet after we leave in the morning, so more to come mid-week!

nancy: Your trip looks fabulous! Can't wait to see all the photos. I'm jealous. You shoulda told me you were going to Venice. I could have recommended some cool locations and a cute little boutique hotel that wouldn't break the bank. Marcus and I spent part of our honeymoon there.

We had the most fun in the mountains this evening doing a snow shoot! I’m excited for you to see some of the resulting images but first, I wanted to share a few from “dress up” day. 
) We did a little mini-shoot on the balcony of Luke and Chris’ house just for fun and here’s what we got…

Italy is amazing!! We went out to Venice yesterday to take a look around, and we’re headed over to Lake Como and Verona tomorrow. Our friends Luke and Chris are being our gracious hosts and to help repay them, we’re letting Chris and the neighbor girls play dress up. ) They got on their favorites and then took off out the door for a sprint around the block! Ashley almost got hit by a car in her excitement and I think the neighbors thought they had gone crazy! haha! I’ll post more later but here’s a fun one from the run around the neighborhood to get things kicked off…

Very, very, very long day for us today… and lots of traveling.
After we woke up on Sunday morning, we worked all day… worked through the night without sleeping… drove to the airport, just barely catching our flight out at 1:45 p.m… Flew from Nashville to Atlanta, from Atlanta to Rome, from Rome to Venice.
Sounds like time for a nap? Not so fast! We arrived in Venice at 10:50 a.m… and we’ve been out and about all day in Italy today.
So *now* it’s time to SLEEP!

Amber and Brandon got married yesterday! And yes, Brandon’s dad’s name really is Ricky Martin – how fantastic is that?? ) It was a beautiful day, we had a beautiful couple, and it all came together just beautifully! (Maybe I shouldn’t write at 2:30am…) I simply could not believe how the gals at One Source Weddings transformed the church and reception hall at Triune Baptist Church! Everything was so perfect. I think this image pretty much sums it all up. Congratulations you two. We wish you all the happiness this life has to give. )
