I adore children’s books. I always have.

Well, I should clarify: I adore good children’s books.

You see, I’m a bit of a snob about them. They are just capable of being so great, that I really feel like they need to reach a certain level if they’re going to make it onto our bookshelves, you know? I mean, it only makes sense!

A good children’s book is an amazing thing. It can spark the imagination, inspire greatness, incite confidence, instill values… It’s really something to celebrate.

Since having my kids, one of my favorite things has been growing their personal library. And now that I’m writing my own children’s book, I’ve been going back through their collection with a whole new appreciation.

I thought I’d start sharing some of my favorites with you every week so that you can enjoy them too. Every book I’m going to share is also majorly kid-approved at our house so you can’t go wrong.

I hope you and your littles will enjoy these books as much as we do!

This week I want to talk about Beautiful Oops by Barney Saltzburg. I came across this one in a little local bookstore the other day and fell instantly, head over heels in love…

Beautiful Oops Children's Book Review

This book is all about creating something beautiful from your mistakes and using them as an opportunity to grow.

All the heart eyes right here.

Each page is also a wonderful little surprise with different cutouts and flaps. My kids love seeing what comes next.
