| Hanna & Bobby: Married at the Hermitage Hotel Jul, 24 2010 by Sean | |

Keep an eye out for Bobby. He is a chef with a passion for cooking. I wouldn’t be surprised if you see him as the host of his own cooking show within the next few years. I took a sip of water at the Hermitage Hotel and commented on how great it was. “It’s cucumber mint water.” said Bobby. “Cucumbers are 96% water. You can cut them up and put the pieces with some mint into water and it is so refreshing–I make it at home.” I then noticed a really nice stylish shirt that was hanging on a chair in the room where the groomsmen were getting ready. “That’s what I’m wearing tomorrow. Hanna picked it out for me. She picks out all sorts of great things for me. She’s really into fashion. I never was before, and now I really love everything that she finds for me.” Bobby then turned to his brother and said “This is Sean. He and his wife are the amazing photographers that did our engagement photos. We love them!” His brother replied “I know you love them–Hanna sends me about 17 of the images a day!” If one thing can be said about Hanna and Bobby, it’s that they are passionate people. They find something they are interested in, and they are into it. We had a great time spending the day with them and photographing their wedding, and we’re excited to see two passionate people start their new life together! Congratulations Hanna & Bobby!

First let me say that for the record, we are not supposed to have this kind of heat until August! Lindsay and Patrick’s wedding was sultry to say the least, but that didn’t by any means dampen the spirit of the day! We love to see two people so in love as these guys. Thank you for making us part of your very momentous occasion! It was truly our pleasure. :0)

She thought you guys were incredible and I had to be persuaded! I don’t regret the decision at all. Not only are the pictures fantastic but Melanie and Sean were so easy to work with. Wedding day photos were planned out in advance and shared with Lindsay. You didn’t realize they were there. The wedding party said they were not stressed at all. I think we can thank Melanie & Sean for that!

| The Iceland Adventure Continues – Part 2! Jun, 21 2010 by Mel | |

Iceland is a place that Sean and I would have never thought we would ever go, but we’re so glad we did! Who knew there was such beautiful scenery to be found on a little northern island the size of Kentucky? We spent 7 days there, traveling across the entire southern border of the country from one side to the other and back again. There aren’t many people we could spend that long in a car with but Josh and Ting make the list and we had the best time with them! We really need a horizontal blog to show off all of the amazing panoramic landscapes we captured during our time there but in the meantime, these will have to do. ;0) We had driven through cold and rain and more rain all that day and then we saw this! If Lupine isn’t Iceland’s national flower, it should be. Whatever isn’t covered in lava seems to be covered in Lupine and with the sunshine and the breeze, it made for the perfect image!
Speaking of lava, the lava fields were just incredible! Rolling mounds of hardened lava spread as far as the eye could see! The strangest part though was that when you stepped on it, the thick moss covering the rock made it feel like the softest carpet you’d ever set foot on, or laid out on for that matter…
Our very favorite part of the Icelandic landscape though was a little something the U.S. Military left behind…
Ah! Can you even believe the things they just leave sitting outside in Iceland to fulfill a photographer’s wildest dreams?? We’re soooo excited to get to work on this shoot! It’s going to be epic! Hope you enjoyed this little sneak peek. :0) | |
