WELCOME TO OUR BLOG, THANK YOU FOR VISITING!
Sean and Melanie McLellan are the internationally acclaimed husband and wife photography team behind McLellan Style. As artists, they are highly sought after throughout the world for their vivid and emotionally impactful imagery. They pride themselves on their ability to capture the beauty of a person’s essence and the style within.
15 minutes before Sara Beth and Austin were scheduled to arrive, huge dark clouds came out of absolutely nowhere and it started pouring. Talk about impeccable timing! Staring at the weather forecast proved useless since none of actually knew how to determine what the radar was forecasting for the next few hours. Besides, it said we were supposed to be dry at that very moment so what do they know? We opted for the try-to-drive-out-of-the-storm method and with much luck, it worked! Would you believe that right around the corner from the ugliest storm it looked like this?

Can you say fortuitous?
) Sara Beth and Austin – you guys were great! Thanks for driving around looking for sun with us! Can’t wait to see you guys again!

Ok so first, Biltmore Estate is HUGE!! I had no idea! I knew it was a ginormous house with a winery and barns, etc. but think the land for this place might be the size of the entire county we live in! Needless to say, there were plenty of places to shoot! Lissa and Justin were awesome and we had the best time wandering around the Biltmore with them. Can’t wait to go wandering again for your wedding guys!
)
I think I need this greenhouse….

Loved, loved, LOVED the light in this field! The totally adorable couple sitting in it didn’t hurt at all either.

So we only drive past the house and I haven’t seen inside yet but I’m pretty sure it will do just fine. Now to work on becoming the next Vanderbilts!
Lissa:I can't believe that's really US!! : ) Seriously?! We had a great time with ya'll and we can't wait until September!! (2009-06-30 21:09:13)
adrienne.:For now, you can just go buy Alan Jackson's home. It's only $38 million. You know, work your way up to the Biltmore. (2009-06-30 13:26:55)
adrienne.:Great job! Yeah, I wouldn't mind being a servant there because I'm pretty sure even if I lived in one of their closets it'd be bigger than our house. =) (2009-06-30 13:03:36)
Missy:And this is why when you said this couple was getting married at the Biltmore, I responded with an open mouth. Gorgeous place, gorgeous pics! Can't wait to see their wedding photos..and I don't even know them! Haha. (2009-06-29 18:27:48)
Jacqulyn:Nice. You need to work on an indoor pool and bowling alley. Beautiful shots! (2009-06-29 17:12:23)

First of all, I might just have a new favorite city! Greenville is the most adorable place ever! We took a nice little drive through the mountains last Thursday and landed in this beautiful metropolis to meet Heather and Chris for their engagement session. These two are as adorable as Greenville!
) Heather told me ahead of time that she doesn’t do well in front of the camera but she was so wrong! She and Chris were completely natural and their love for each other is so strong that they were just glowing!
) Hope you enjoy the sneak peek!

On a different note, today is Sean’s birthday!!!
) Happy Birthday my love! We’ve bought a shiny new iPhone, eaten Italian food and half-baked sugar cookies, and now we’re off to see a movie. Overall, it’s been a good day! Thanks for all the birthday wishes sent his way today!

For Mother’s Day weekend I went down to Chattanooga to spend the day with my grandmother. I came home with two boxes of half-charred photo albums to try to salvage my family history from. Lesson #1 – always back up your photos and store them somewhere safe! In this digital age, it’s so easy – there’s no excuse! Lesson #2 – I’m sure anyone reading this knows how valuable their family photos are to them, but do you realize how valuable photos of you will be to your kids and grandkids one day? What I love most about engagement sessions is that through them, we have the opportunity to show future generations who that couple is and give them something they can relate to in the people who gave them life. Whether they’ve known them for years and are getting to glimpse into a time in that person’s life that they didn’t get to witness, or they’re meeting them for the first time through photographs, we want to show as much as we can of that couple in the images we create.
One day, Julie and Craig’s grandchildren will see their engagement images and maybe they will identify with their strong creative streak, or maybe they will admire their grandparents’ incredible sense of individualism. I know that they will definitely be in awe of the connection these two people have and feel such happiness to get to see what they were like when they were just two kids, madly in love!
)

Speaking of family treasures, Julie had her favorite of her grandmother as a young woman made into a tattoo so that she would always be with her. Very cool.

Thanks for looking!
)
