We had a wonderful weekend a few days back with Rupa and Josh, celebrating their wedding. They are creatives, each in their own right, and they share our love for composition, light, and artistic imagery. Add to that a beautiful Indian celebration full of tradition, color, and love everywhere — what more could we ask for?

Sometimes love is right under your nose and you don’t even realize it. That was the case for Stacey and Shane. They may not have been high school sweethearts, but they were the most in love lovebirds at their high school reunion 10 years later! It’s funny and beautiful how things work out. :0) Congratulations you guys! Your love is honest, natural, and carefree – thank you for letting us in to document it.

Whitney and Jon met in Law School and since discovering the mutual interest, have been inseparable ever since. He would do anything for her. The way she looks at him would make even the most hardened person melt. We can’t wait to photograph their union next summer! :0) Congrats you two! Enjoy the preview!

McLellan Style – The China Experience

The trip had been 2 years in the making. Much planning and plotting had been done via g-chat, Sean and I burning the midnight oil while Gladys ordered lunch on the other side of the world. Our trip to China to photograph Gladys and Henry had been “in the future” for so long that it seemed hard to believe that it was actually happening a couple of weeks ago! And yet, roughly 25 hours after taking off from the Nashville airport, we found ourselves in Beijing with Seven and my best friend Rachel in tow. We finally got to meet the wonderful people we had had a running dialogue with for 2 years and they did not disappoint. It was an amazing trip and Gladys and Henry had us absolutely spoiled with their warmth and hospitality! I wasn’t sure what to expect from China, but I have to say I’m totally taken with it. The Great Wall is an amazing sight, and the residences of the old Emperors are just…wow! With our lovely couple there was no way the trip was going to be anything but a success! We’re so excited to work on the images! They are ah-mazing if I do say so myself! ;0) Gladys and Henry, you guys are spectacular! Thank you so much for having us and for being such gracious hosts! We can’t wait to see you again next year! Until then, here’s to lots more late night/mid-morning scheming to plan our next big adventure! :0)
